This guy literally has no logic like non he is being slaved his slaver is in love with him the only logical way is to submit and through submission he can have best life (between other options that's the best) But beacuse of his morals he just keep fighting and for years he constantly is being punished, humiliated, raped beacuse he was not letting go of what he thought was right!
