He constantly refers to the importance of strong evidence to back one's claims. In his arguments, the Te and Fi is almost always balanced. He usually takes the approach of finding out what the evidence says, and then going from there to decide his values about the situation. An Fi dom would struggle not to go with their gut on what they believe is right or wrong, regardless of the evidence. While an INFP has the potential to develop their Te, it should still obviously be used less than their Fi. His strong use of Te combined with the fact that he developed it later in his life seems to point more towards 3rd slot Te than 4th slot Te.
