Core 5 is motivated to protect their internal world - their feelings, time, and resources - by disconnecting from the environment. Core 1 is motivated by their harsh internal critic to do the right thing at all times. -Lysithea’s motivation is to bring relief to her parents and the people of Ordelia by working hard. It’s not about maintaining psychological boundaries, it’s about doing the right thing. She’s studious and self-isolated not primarily to protect herself, but because she sees it as the best way of achieving her goals.
