Very important character in the series. The driving force behind Ashirogi Muto. Being raised by his mother to take some symbolic revenge against the father, Takagi declined his mother’s wish and chose to lead his own path of life. Though driven to accomplish success in the manga industry, I always saw Takagi being driven by a strong sense of curiosity. To know what method does it take to create a successful ongoing manga series. What makes a good story? Being logical and creative at the same time. For any Bakuman fan and Takagi fan, I would recommend reading the bonus chapter that were written to promote the live action movie (which I would seriously not recommend watching). It shows a brief moment of Takagi before the beginning of the series. What I really liked about it was that it showed that his true goals was something he would find interesting to do as well as a true friend. It is good to see both his wishes came true.
