All of Kira's feats stem from his genotype first and his beliefs last. If you want further proof that his feats stem from his genotype then I'll point you towards GS15 "The Respective Solitudes" (IIRC) where the Archangel's doctor clearly stated that if Kira was a natural he wouldn't have survived atmospheric re-entry. The fact that Kira chooses to reject this reality is indicative of PoLR Se. Take his "I'm nothing more than a single human being" line to Durandal as evidence of this.
