i think tatsumi is a pretty typical fi using protagonist. he has very strong inner morals, exhibited well in the beginning when he finds out about how terrible the family who took him in really is. he’s very driven by his own sense of right and wrong, pushing him to help his village, avenge his friends, and fight the capital. i think this motivation is indicative of his 3 fix. i certainly see why he could be mistyped as a 2 fix, but i believe his motivation to succeed in acting on his beliefs outweighs that. i think his use of fi and loyalty to his friends is the root of this mistype. i think these are really just some typical things of male anime protagonists. i don’t think tatsumi is particularly interesting or likable, the women of the show are definitely the stars, but i think he functions well as a protagonist in the plot.
