I think you guys are confusing his loyalty to SeeD with Si. His loyalty to SeeD didn't come from embedded memories that deemed his expierences with them as valid, he just genuinely likes being a part of them. Furthermore Squall is anti-Si. He doesn't like focusing on past expierences at all, he hates thinking about it. The reason he doesn't let anyone is because of what happened to him as a kid when Ellone left. It hurt him. He never wanted to let anyone in after that because he was afraid of the pain that would come after losing them. This is anti-Si. He doesn't actually learn from the expierence he just hates it. You guys make some good points about Si users. Yes Si users can have goals like Ni users too. Everyone has goals I hate the stereotype that people need Ni to have goals it's ridiculous. My reasoning for him being Ni > Si wasn't because he had goals but because he likes to focus more on future direction. Ofc Si can care about the future too but when they do it's usually about preserving past traditions and stuff they remember works. He's definitely Ni > Si because he even said that he was fine losing his memories from the GF in order to complete his mission. I don't think a Si user would ever say this. His intense emphasis on the bigger picture is Ni.
