Simon is motivated by personal feelings/values above all else and is pretty aware of his surroundings despite his fearful behavior in the earlier parts of the story (Fi + Se). He develops his Ni quite remarkably after the time skip, and there are arguments for him being an Ni dom, but he doesn't lead with Ni. His Te isn't the best in the first half of the anime as Simon struggles to see the positive qualities of himself. After a certain someone's tragic fate, Simon falls into Te grip. He feels as though he is a burden to others, blames himself for the problems that happened, continues to view himself in a negative light, and lashes out at things that easily irritate him. However, Simon gains his confidence again and leads Team Gurren and humanity to a better future for everyone. ISFP for Simon.
