I dislike how writers made him a comic relief from Fast 5 onwards, I think we can all agree his character in 2F2F may be funny but gives off serious "don't mess with me" vibes. Like when Brian saw Verone's 2 henchmen, Roman acted quickly and decided to divert them by spraying their car with some kerosene and using a lighter to buy time for him and Brian to go back to report to the LAPD cops. When Brian went to see him at the derby, Roman was pissed at Brian for not helping him in the past, hence showing Fi. Se I can see in him as he's aware of his surroundings and details
