I think the onceler in the book is an ENTP or an ESTJ, probably an ESTJ, because the whole dilemma of him in the book is neglecting Fi. Not questioning the morality of his actions or empathizing with the victims of a poor economy and environment around him and having a pure Te mindset of just grinding to succeed in anyway he can without regard of what he’s doing to himself or the people around him. Si is used to add rules, consistency and structure to the corporations he runs and Ne is how he innovates with the thneed and his other inventions. He feels less like a relatable villain because of circumstance and more just an actual person who got really overwhelmed by greed. You only see his Fi later in life when he’s regretted all of decisions and sees the error in his ways. Onceler in the movie is an ENFP for sure, he uses his Fi to justify his actions to himself at first and then slowly creeps into an Ne-Te loop of neglecting it and prioritizing creative innovation and success over morality. In his older days he becomes much more Si-Fi.
背景
The Once-ler is an old man who recounts to Ted Wiggins how his discovery of the Truffula Forest as a young adult led to its depletion. Therefore, he could be considered a (former) secondary antagonist as well as the story's main protagonist.
