Kyle epitomises the virtue that Type 1 can embody at their best. He's been doing his thing for over a decade, he never took on a sponsor, he's never talked to an advertiser, he's never taken money from wealthy investors. His career is fuelled by small donations and YouTube's default advertisements, and it's remained that way for a decade without any changes. Kyle embodies what independent media can be at its best, and whilst he can sometimes be a little naive and trusting towards people who don't have the best intentions, unlike other hosts in his industry, he is willing to continue learning and changing his perspectives when he's wrong. His dismay at what "independent media" has become, with creators like Tim Pool, Benny Johnson and Dave Rubin exposed for being in the pockets of Russian propagandists has very clearly shook his faith in what his industry was intending to do, but all he can do is continue to embody the ideal of what he believes independent media should be.
