I can't believe his profile existed for an almost 2 years long period and even though there is relatively little debate over him, nobody even bothered to write an analysis about him. "Welp dang it i'm gonna follow the harem protag stereotype". Okay... Here comes my analysis: Ti Dominant: We can tell it very easily by reading his dialogues and analyzing his thoughts. He is constantly in some sort of subjective criticizing mode, as he casually makes side comments to say his opinion when he wants to. If something seems illogical to him, he won't bother to disagree with the suggestion he receives. However, he prefers not to argue and most of the time will keep his mouth quiet in order to maintain balance around him. This as well allows him to back up Sayori's low focus on deductive logic. Se Auxiliary: Very similarly to Natsuki, he's quite grounded in reality and rather observant of the environment he finds himself in, and clearly he understands her poems and perspective the easiest. He might be somewhat of a pleasure seeker as can be seen in him consuming quite a lot of virtual media, but his sensing is quite healthy and this allows him to progress until the very end as he's fully aware of his actions. Ni Tertiary: He doesn't show much preference for divergent thinking and finds it rather draining. He makes an impression based on the whole spectrum of details he absorbs, and this allows him to see through the others' intentions and decipher their likeliest issues easier. However, the more subtle and loose details might pass over his head, such as signs of Sayori's depresson, due to the overall lack of pattern in her behavior. Fe Inferior: His social skills may be rather undeveloped, but he really tries hard to become better at understanding how do the others feel, even though he comes off as ignorant or oblivious. He is almost always impersonal and prefers to go with the flow. 9w8 = Very harmonious and peace seeking, but can also be rather slow to "move around" and it takes plenty of demand to lead him to somewhere, may come off as mad if bothered too much. Edit: i've seen plenty of people coming to this page to say how they hate the main character for being bland and also criticizing him for the way he acts towards others (Luckily these comments have gone away eventually). What were you expecting from a character that was deliberately given very little background and is supposed to portray an individual who lacks a lot in social aspects as the life situation led him to spend most of the time in his room. He may be bland, yes, but regardless of that, he can be normally typed as his thought process is always shown to us, and if you don't like him very much, remember that there are other places out there for criticizing him.
背景
The protagonist was designed to function like a typical visual novel protagonist. He acts blunt and mean towards Sayori, his childhood friend; teases Natsuki, the tsundere; is warm to Yuri, the shy girl; and falters around Monika, the popular girl. According to Dan Salvato, he is deliberately given very little focus; mainly because he's oppressively bland and douchey. More specifically, the protagonist is an underachiever, preferring to play video games and watch anime instead of applying himself and having friends. Despite this, when he does interact with others, he tries to be kind and thoughtful. He takes note of how people around him are acting and feeling, although more subtle things may go over his head. He is kind of a tool. He is shown to be clever and observant in Act 1.
