Man I really wish that such a well written character such as Eddie got more screentime in the anime at least. Heck they didn't even show a glimpse of his backstory to explain his reasons to anime watchers only! No wonder that he and even Cathy or Gray (them either didn't get a show of their backstory) got so overlooked because of Zack and Ray's alluringly huge importance as the protagonists, which makes perfectly sense but idk (Danny's case is kinda special because they kinda revealed half of it). I think it would have been more interesting to not make it seem like all the other characters are completely irrelevant even before meeting Rachel. And besides, I think that Eddie's backstory was so interesting despite how sad it is,and makes him the most... understandable one among all characters (in my opinion, since it's heavily based on personal ideals and questionable philosophy), along with Rachel while still being aware that he's not a pure morally white character either.
背景
Eddie was once a kind and respectful boy who is very devoted to making graves following his family business. He is also an animal lover, taking great care of the pets in his house. His love for his pets made him go as far as to be willing to endure his oldest brother's abuse so the pets would be left alone. Befitting of a kid his age, he is childish and immature. If he doesn't get his way, and can tend to grow rather impatient as well.
