背景
The unconscious denial or acceptance of some unpleasant facts, or the unconscious denial of some painful reality. Denial is a primitive and simple self-defense mechanism. Denial and repression can sometimes seem similar, but there is a fundamental difference between the two. Denial does not mean forgetting, but insists that something is not true despite all the evidence that it is true. An example of Denial is the common myth (not actually true) that ostriches bury their head in the sand in the face of danger to avoid it.
