I think a lot of the 9w1 votes reflect slightly shallow thinking 'oh hippies are all about peace and love so they must be 9 as 9s are the peacemaker'. When statistically, there is a negative correlation between type 9 and trait openness. Especially with 1 wing, they tend to dislike rocking the boat or drawing excess attention to themselves, so may not be entirely down with the revolutionary and self-expressive hippie ethos, though typically accepting of it in others. Ime, 7s, 4s and the odd cp 6. Though 4s may be drawn to more dark and introspective, and cp 6s to more aggressive subcultures. Overall, I'd say a blend of high openness, utopian worldview and hedonistic lifestyle preference makes the nf 7w6 the perfect fit for the hippie life.
