背景
Agent Mason is a former street fighter and former Guardian Units of Nations agent who was hired by The Buyer to capture Knuckles the Echidna and obtain his power. Along with his partner Willoughby, Mason attempted to capture Knuckles to take him to The Buyer, comparing the echidna's strength to Knuckles' quill-enhanced equipment. However, the duo's plans were thwarted by Wade Whipple until Mason and Willoughby were caught in between the collapse of two rings, presumably killing both of them.
