I have to be honest all the people looking at Aster and going “she’s just like me” should consider that she’s someone who is framed as good/perfect in a way. What’s really interesting to me is because we only view her through Ellie and Paul, she’s is kinda just acted upon and I don’t mean that in a bad way because that’s kinda what her struggle/plot/inner development (?) is about so it’s not like a women in media thing, but that’s not how you’re gonna experience the world.
