ESTP. He’s completely emotionally oblivious to the majority of what goes around him specifically with everything Pam feels. ESFP’s are generally very in touch with both Fi and Fe but can be out of touch with Te, whereas ESTP’s are generally in touch with Ti and Te but out of touch with Fe/Fi which is very apparent with him. The way he operates is always either out of a sensory desire or out of logic; if you look at Andy who we all agree is an ESFP, he can be not the brightest at times but is always aware of the emotions of himself and people around him. This guy on the other hand is pretty rational about decision making, doesn’t really have any emotional personal values and kind of emotionally oblivious until things get heated with Jim and then he has some Se breakouts. I’m not trying to demonize ESTP’s. My best friend is actually one and the majority of them are much better people than the stereotypes deal them out to be, but this guy has absolutely no Fi. Although ESTP’s get an overly bad rap, there are some who can be bad and I think this guy is one of the rare examples who fits that description. He’s not a terrible guy, just fails to recognize the emotions of people around him and eventually has some outbursts because he can’t reconcile with his own emotions. I think Darrell’s a great example of a much more Fe developed ESTP.
