In the novel, she's always using her Fe in the way she's constantly wondering and trying to understand the feelings and moods of those around her in her inner monologues even when the person is someone she hates or is afraid of. I don't see her doing that to herself as much as she does to others. In the debates with the factions her Ni-Fe shows in the amount of attention and sensitivity she has in the vibe of the room, how her words and actions will be perceived, and in the way she easily notices small details like how she has to dress or where she has to sit to make an impression that can help her to lead their opinion to the direction she wants. The reason she's so good at social gatherings is basically because she's able to read them and the situation she's in. Use her Ni to take a step back and see the big picture. She's a bit shy and fearful but she's still quick at observe, analyze and learn the patterns of a group and that helps her to know how to take the lead in different scenarios when is necessary. Her Si and Fi are not that high, remember she still accepted Ruve after all. For a person with a preference for those functions that would be impossible.
