"William "Topaz" McGonagall是什么人格? William "Topaz" McGonagall是MBTI中的ESFP人格类型,九型中的2w3 - SP2 - 279,五大类型中的SCUAN,Socionics中ESE类型。"
I'll try to keep this analysis terse. Impressionable and trusting but self-important, stubborn, and grandiose: moderate agreeableness, very E2 motivation (pride). Behaviorally eccentric but unintellectual and devoid of artistic merit: low to moderate openness. Combining lack of inquisitiveness with being easily duped by trolls - 4L. very determined to become a renowned poet but sacrificed his wealth and well-being for it - high industriousness but low orderliness - moderate conscientiousness. could argue positivist (ESE/SEE) on socionics as well because they're more rigid and unchanging in goals/mindset compared to negativists. exuberant, attention-seeking, would take any chance to be famous and perform - very high extroversion; these also are signs of image triad enneagram, high emotion on PY, and 4D Fe on socionics - probably ESE due to how expressive, whimsical, and careless he was. Again bolsters positivity triad (2, 7, 9, but most likely E2 due to extroversion + need for attention) optimistic, sanguine, lacking emotional reaction despite falling into extreme poverty and having fruits thrown at him by the audience: low neuroticism+positivity triad as well. EDIT: changed vote from ESE to SEE. A lot of his poems are quite didactic and moralistic while showing lack of artistic restraint, typical of gamma SFs. Judging from his writing he also thinks and processes information in a very rigid and static way - e.g. reciting concrete facts about disasters from the newspapers - being blind to dynamic aspects like poetic flow, transitions, and rhythm.
背景
William McGonagall (1825-1902) is a Scottist-born poet widely regarded as one of the worst poets of all time. After a self-proclaimed epiphany in 1877 during a period of family hardship in which McGonagall claims he was possessed by the spirit of Lord Byron urging him to write, he started producing voluminous amounts of amateur poetry, where his work is characterized by poor command of language, forced rhymes, lack of metaphor or subtlety, and stilted matter-of-fact declarative statements. Despite all evidence to the contrary, he viewed himself as a prodigious (and sometimes even prophetic) genius, famously misinterpreting Queen Victoria's soft rejection as praise and respect for his work. Despite the embarrassment, he remained undeterred and continued to perform his poetry in public, even though much to his chagrin they would only be met with fruits and vegetables being pelted at him. Known as someone extremely trusting and gullible, he has been trolled by many people, once someone pretending to be a famous playwright hiring him to write lyrics for his plays, even coaxing him to travel all the way to the theater, and another notable time being convinced that a troll posing as King Thibaw Min of Burma has granted him knighthood under the name "Topaz" for his work, which he adopted for the rest of his life. He died in abject poverty in 1902 after several failed attempts by friends and associates to fund his poetry out of pity.
