Ways to tell apart ENFP Harley from ESFP Harley (her type tends to switch between these 2 depending on the writting): 1- the origin of her relationship and obsession with the joker. Did he unlock something that was always there but she was hiding (ESFP)? Or did he completely manipulate and twist her values using her ability to easily empathize with others and see multiple possibilities and perspectives (ENFP)? 2- does she keep forgiving and coming back to the joker cause she is naive, delusional, does not learn from past experiences and and sees him through rose colored glasses (ENFP)? Or does she keeps forgiving him cause of her innability to recognize the relationship's abusive patterns and her just taking everything he says at face value without thinking through or extra processing of that information (ESFP)? 3- does her impulsive, chaotic and reckless behavior come from her having difficulty seeing future repercussions to her actions and decisions (ESFP)? Or from her need for novelty in her life, desire to try out new ideas she sees in her head, being unable to learn from her past, moving away from stability and not bding able to properly evaluate reality (ENFP)? 4- does she have a sense of reality, even if messed up and incorrect (ESFP)? I could list more but i think these are basic differences between an unhealthy ENFP and an unhealthy ESFP and you can kind off go from there. I wouldn't say this is the definitive way to tell ESFP Harley from ENFP Harley apart as she might be a mix of both depending on the iteration of the character but it's what i think makes the most sense.

Harley Quinn (Harleen Frances Quinzel) is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, and first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series in September 1992. She later appeared in DC Comics's Batman comic books, with the character's first comic book appearance in The Batman Adventures #12 (September 1993).
