Man I remember when people thought she was an ISFJ, I never thought that seemed right, but I have a problem with self abandoning so I was like “well personality database must be right about her” But anyways, Katherine is a ect book ESTJ who also happens to be a good Mom, she’s such a W for the ESTJs Some quotes from her with Te-Si “Well I do love order” Nathen: “In preschool you organized a fire drill before the school did, and it was better than theirs” Katherine: “theirs didn’t use a buddy system” Nathen: “you have always known what you want, don’t let Ron convince you otherwise” “I have always wanted to be someone’s boss” (does impression of a bored employee who wants to go home) When Nathen and Katherine are creating a job listing, Nathen has slightly flighty Ne ideas (but they are actually closer to the kind of employee they need), and Katherine decides on the cliche “ambitious go-getter with 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry” She also decides on having 5 references, because she values the past and precedence so much (Si) We can also see that Katherine is very assertive in how she approaches relationships, she has enough self-doubt that she can sometimes be bulldozed with manipulation (like Ron and initially the honeymoon suite) She revokes vent privileges for Abbadon with absolutely no negotiation when he trashes the hotel lobby, she is determined to stick to her guns enough that she carries him to the car and deals with his tantrum She also immediately shuts down her kids in Rollyfluffs when she can tell they’re faking being sick Katherine is also very disciplinarian when Esther astral projects, and with Esther in general, as she won’t just let Esther do things her way She is also generally very blunt and straightforward, sometimes to a fault as we see with her email to Nathen, and when she insults the ghosts when she’s trying to get them to appear on TV Katherine is usually inflexible due to her Te-Si, but there are some instances where she uses her Ne, fewer than her using Fi Katherine has the idea to give Abbadon a job so that he isn’t constantly causing problems in the hotel, which actually is a creative and useful solution Katherine also is able to reflect on her efforts and come up with the idea to change her approach and focus to the hotel, instead of trying to cover up the hotel’s flaws, she tries to create strengths for the hotel in Rollyfluffs I think ESTJ fits her better than ISTJ because although she doesn’t use either Ne or Fi very much, she seems to generally prefer Te as she uses it almost constantly in social situations, and ISTJ would usually have a more reserved demeanor than she does. I also think her having inferior Fi makes a bit of sense because she has a lack of awareness of certain parts of her emotions (like her positive emotions about her brother when she sent that email), she often has difficulty considering other people’s feelings (which fits very well with an inferior feeling function), and when she is steamrolled by manipulative people, it’s often because she isn’t fully confident in or in touch with her feelings.
