Ah, someone actually made a profile for Void Shiki. Nice. So, I'm not 100% sure about her MBTI (I suggested INTP on the original profile, but I'm currently leaning more towards Ni dominance; I'll make a more thorough argument later). However, I think she's almost certainly a 5, or at least "represents" a 5 in a rather abstract sense. Her whole focus is on knowledge beyond any human experience, and the consequences of this. She's attained a state where she understands the most complex aspects of the universe to the extent that she exists as an outsider to everything, including her own ego. She's attained a goal of being completely detached from the limitations of subjectivity and achieved an ideal of perfect knowledge, but in the process, also understands that such a state can never bring her satisfaction. Satisfaction is born out of succeeding in the desires of the ego, so existing in a state with no ego means she cannot have satisfaction. This is obviously interpretive, but I always thought the theme Kara no Kyouki was exploring with Void Shiki's characterisation was very 5-centric in the sense of questioning the end-goal of the pursuit of knowledge. Her existence, of an outsider to reality who can peer in to the point of knowing everything, poses the important question of "why would you seek this state?". Given the many spiritual ideas explored in Kara no Kyoukai, and how many spiritual ideologies stress the idea of existing beyond the limitations of your ego, her characterisation almost seems like a direct criticism of this ideologies by suggesting such a state is totally empty and devoid of meaning, just as Void Shiki sees her existence as meaningless. Reading back, this feels more like a thematic analysis than a character analysis, but my conclusion remains the same. Void Shiki, despite not really neatly fitting into the Enneagram (due to the focus the Enneagram has on the ego), feels as though she was clearly written from the perspective of a 5 and was characterised as the "end-result" of a 5's motivations.
背景
A third personality that has existed in the gap between Shiki and SHIKI since their birth, but purposefully kept herself hidden from the other two personalities due to her general disinterest in being involved in the world. This personality is housed in Shiki's body rather than the other personalities housed in her mind, and can essentially be thought of as the living, sentient embodiment of Shiki's Origin of "Void".
