Before he’s voted as a 4 for being punk, I think Hobie is probably one of the best examples of a healthy, Social 8 character in recent history. Some voters on PDB are so attached to the stereotypical ‘ENTJ 8’ idea (which is barely possible in the first place) that they forget what actual 8s look like. 8s are, first are foremost, anti-establishment and individualistic; and both of these traits fit Spider-Punk perfectly. Taking his backstory into account, he’s from a universe ruled by a totalitarian regime, and he leads the revolution against them by being a hero who looks out for the little guy. This is textbook Social 8, although he has some Sexual 8 mixed in there, mainly through his charisma and needless contrarianism.
