Ne user and I suspect an Ne-dom. He does come across as extraverted and revels in observing and interacting with the objective world (through Ne), far more than rationalising it with an abstract mental framework. Fi-Te/Ti-Fe isn't so obvious, but he seems to have a strong ideological preference for the individual (the Self, if you will) over the collective in matters of values and rationale, which is a hallmark of Fi. ENTP's tend to have highly collectivist value systems due to Fe. ENFP fits better. Very common type in intellectual circles.
