Emmanuel is the name given by the Brazilian medium Chico Xavier to the spirit to which he attributes the authorship of a good part of his psychographic works. This spirit was pointed out by Chico Xavier as his spiritual advisor. There is also a book of the same name by Chico Xavier that bears Emmanuel's signature, published in 1938. The mediumistic work attributed to Emmanuel is composed of dozens of books, many of them translated into different languages. They are historical novels, spiritual counseling books, works of biblical exegesis, etc.
