Giuseppe Impastato, better known as Peppino (Cinisi, January 5, 1948 - Cinisi, May 9, 1978), was an Italian journalist, radio host and activist, member of Proletarian Democracy and known for his public statements against the activities of Cosa Nostra, following which he was assassinated on May 9, 1978. He founded Radio Aut in 1977, from which he attacked the mafia until his assassination.
