I've been thinking a lot about Rose's enneatype 5w4 is a better fit than 4w5. Rose isn't the only lightbound but she is the one who's most connected to the knowledge and information aspect of it. She's a seer of course, but her frustrations don't stem from seeking a unique identity, she wants to know things and she's willing to do whatever it takes. Rose has the hallmark smug know it all attitude of a five and also the habit of cloaking her emotions. She has intense dramatic moments of following her feelings to their extreme conclutions, most notably in (s) seer descend but her natural instinct is to push it down. Self revelation isn't something that comes naturally, just look at her reaction to she shameless attitude of Jasprose. The lack of restraint on Jasprose part isn't the only thing that broke her but also the fact that it doesn't make sense. Why did it happen? What role did that even play in the greater narrative? In her character arc? Rose's relationship to void is most intersting when you look at it as her relationship to Mom. Rose assigns meaning to everything and assumes that everything Mom does is a deliberate ploy because she is unwilling to accept that some things just don't make sense and her drunken (voidy) mom is one of them. During the 3 year voyage she tries yet again to make sense of her Mom by gaining first hand experience, but all she ends up with is substance abuse. Remember, this is a 13 year old kid who not only just died, but witnessed her mother do the same. Their relationship wasn't healthy, but now she's grieveing and more confused than ever because she can never get any answers out of her. So she plummets her self into her mothers habits in a misguided attempt to see things from her point of view. The escapism through new sensations could be read as Rose emulating the negative sides of 7. It's not only the enneagram of Roxy so presumably Mom, but also the stress point of 5.
