What personality type is Monaca Towa? Monaca Towa is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - sx/so - 387 in Enneagram, SLOEN in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Warning: spoilers Monaca doesn’t seem an Fe-Ti user, so ENTJ makes the most sense imo. It’s also pretty clear that she uses Ni-Se as her auxiliary and tertiary functions, so I wont talk about that. In the beginning of the game the player only sees her ‘mask’, so how she wants to create paradise for all kids, which would seem very Fe-like. Later on in the game the player discovers that she does not care about paradise at all. She is driven by the fact that she will become Junko’s successor. By taking that into account: she has a clear and direct goal in mind (becoming the successor of Junko) and bases her decisions solely on that goal (Te). Furthermore, her goal is very organised and planned out into the future (Te-Ni): she used her father’s position to produce the Monokuma’s, and used them to deceive the kids by creating ‘paradise’ (so she could acquire power and become the successor). As you may see, this plan is not based on group harmony, but on objective logic and personal morals. Just because she is manipulative and ‘nice’ to the other warriors of hope, does not mean she is an Fe user. Fe does not mean manipulation nor empathy, so I don’t see why some ENFJ voters use that as an argument :/// Fe users base their decisions on group harmony and try to make their decisions in terms of morals/values/feelings the best for everyone. This is not true for Monaca (at least for what I have seen). She acts solely out of her personal moral and out of her own values; her belief in despair and Junko (Fi), and does not care about the other warriors of hope at all. Inferior Fi seems also pretty logical for that matter. I quote from the Danganronpa fandom website: “Though Monaca was happy and childish on the outside, she felt like dying.” She doesn’t like to be seen as that, and tries to protect her ego-image as childish and happy. This is an example of immature Te-Fi.
Biography
Monaca Towa (塔和 最中; usually spelled as モナカ Monaka), leads the “Mage” Class as a member of the Warriors of Hope and is one of the instigators of Demon Hunting featured in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. Her title is the Li’l Ultimate Homeroom (超小学生級の「学活の時間」 lit. Super Elementary School Level Homeroom Period). #AyaHirano
