What personality type is Ibara Saegusa? Ibara Saegusa is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - sp/so - 316 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
Here's my explanation to why Ibara is a 316 rather than 385. Firstly, to disprove 8 fix: Ibara is simply too reserved in his anger to be one. As listed in one of naranjos books "the characterological syndrome of lust is related to that of gluttony in that both are characterized by impulsiveness and hedonism." Ibara is neither impulsive nor does he indulge in pursuits of pleasure. He is never seen prioritizing physical pleasures or impulsive vengeance anywhere above his perfectly organized plans, in fact he often rejects physical comfort in favor of more important things, and impulse would cost him a fortune. "There is anger in the heart, mostly in the form of resentment, yet not so prominently as anger may be experienced by the lusty, the envious, or the cowardly. As for verbal behavior, it is most characteristic of the anger type to be controlled in the expression of anger, in any of its explicit forms: we are in the presence of a well-behaved, civilized type, not a spontaneous one." Naranjo's description of E1 fits Ibara perfectly due to his anger always being controlled in favor of organisation and his "cowardly" plans. Ibara aims to always appear as his best professional self, which is why he must look reserved and controlled at all times. Just like E1, gut fix for him manifests in a critical and demanding way, rather than openly aggressive or hateful like e8 would display it. To add onto this, E1’s passion of perfection correlates to ibaras constant demand of perfection at work and appearance from himself and everyone around him, especially eden and fellow members of cospro. We see it in his constant need to control their schedules, physical forms and performances to fit his idea of "Perfect Image of His Company". Ibara has a big issue with projecting his idea of life onto other people and gush about wasted potential as it happens with Yuzuru. A big passion of Ibara is to have control over his own being, to succeed at reaching his own standard of his life, to have a proof of reaching that standard and etc which fits direct description of e1 Onto 5 vs 6, E5 hides away and isolates themselves at any stressful situation occurring, preferring not to interact with outside world. They see the world as something outside their reach, hidden behind a glass wall while E6, combined with Te dominant function, (specifically for Ibara id assume its so6), is a fix displaying itself in controlling its environment due to a sense of fear, deficiency, flaw, trying to impose a system onto your environment to control it and avoid any potential faults. Ibara doesn't isolate himself, he interacts with the world and imposes his standards and system onto it in order to have it under control. Ibara always stays alert for every possible outcome that can go wrong for him, and any sudden change of plans or environment throws him into anxiety and rage. E6 has it in it to fear the whole of outside world, which correlates with ibara thinking that he only has himself. The need to always have every step planned out, act extremely carefully and weight every decision is very reminiscent of E6’s nature and points towards 6>5 One might argue that he does try to make alliances but that is another trait of e6: to make connections to cope with anxiety and provide some sort of protection to the individual. Ibara constantly surrounds himself with useful people in order to prepare for any situation that might happen and also impose friendly relationship on other people so he has someone to rely on in case of emergency edit: WOOOOOOO WE MADE 316 IBARA HAPPEN!!!!!
