What personality type is Shinobu Sengoku? Shinobu Sengoku is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - sp/so - 694 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
i know this isn't a common take but i want to bring up sanguine-melancholic shinobu; whilst sanguine in itself can be impulsive, volatile, and flighty, i don't think this temperament shows enough instability to explain shinobu's neurotic and socially anxious nature. in fact, i would see sangphleg as more stable than a sangdom due to the fact that phlegmatic is the most stable and serene of the temperaments. shinobu on the other hand is quite easy to provoke, becomes quickly anxious and frightened, hides away from people, has extreme difficulty in talking to others etc. whilst i do understand the sangphleg take since phlegmatic is described as withdrawn and shy, shinobu is actively anxious and reactive; this goes against phlegmatic which is more indifferent and passive in its withdrawal. plus, general shyness is not the same as the extreme anxiety that shinobu has. i do still think he's sang first due to his friendly and cheerful personality but sangphleg feels really... chill? not that sangphleg can't be unstable or even limbic in big 5 -- but there's a difference between general volatility/instability and the extreme social anxiety that shinobu exhibits. sangphleg will, inherently, be more secure and confident in oneself in social situations as opposed to shinobu who becomes extremely uncomfortable and tries to hide from them. i think sang-mel describes the duality that shinobu shows very well, in being cheerful, friendly, optimistic, and excitable -- but also being extremely reactive, socially withdrawn, anxious, and self-defeating. i don't see why any sangphleg would struggle socially to the degree shinobu would. imo, i think the best temperaments for shinobu would be sangmel > phlegmel > sangphleg.

While he may be shy at first, he has a bright personality, and easily grows attached to people he becomes acquainted with.
