What personality type is Chara? Chara is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sx/sp - 684 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
I could honestly see Chara as INTJ or INFJ. The most prominent thing about them is their Ni. Chara, upon waking up in all routes, first tries to figure out what the purpose/meaning of their reincarnation is. Finding this purpose is basically their main goal throughout the game, whether that goal is helping Frisk free the monsters or destroy them. As the narrator of the game, Chara is also very abstract with their thoughts and connections. "Ah the cactus! Truly the most tsundere of plants" <-- One of my personal favorite lines of theirs. Whether they're T or F is very debatable, since the only decision we ever really see them make is the decision to sacrifice themself and attempt to break the barrier in order to free monsters, which is either indicative of Fi or Fe. Their motives are too vague to really tell which one though. Their overall snarky and sarcastic attitude makes me lean more toward INTJ being their type right now, but a traumatized INFJ could likely act the same way.
Biography
Chara is mentioned in the game, as being the first human to fall down into the Underground. They are said to be 'as close as a sibling' to Asriel. They and Asriel are good friends, however at the end of the True Pacifist route Asriel says that he might have been making them out to seem greater than they actually were. Aside from flashbacks, Chara only makes an actual appearance at the end of the Genocide route.
