What personality type is Vex? Vex is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - 458 in Enneagram, RLUEN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
Hi ppl! Before anything, please reply if you don't agree with me. We shouldn't let threads become echochambers, and we definetly shouldn't lynch others because of their opinions. Why Fi-Te over Ti-Fe: Ti dom's worldview is focused on how its users think the world works. They want to piece together their own truth, their own answers to life's principles. They constantly seek for new things to thrill their minds with. Vex never did that. She pieces together her own truth with her feelings instead of a logical framework. She actively cares about being edgy , to the point where she has voice lines like "Oh wow that was totally awesome! Oh.. I mean, it was awful." (I recall this voice line from memory for the record) From her lore, there is this paragraph: "Growing up in Bandle City, Vex never felt she belonged. The whimsy and color of the yordle realm was cloying to her. Despite the best efforts of her parents, she never seemed to find her “yordle spirit” or any like-minded friends, and chose to spend most of her time sulking in her room." She doesn't trying to define her gloomy reality by logic, like "oh the world is so awfully systematic, awfully biased by feelings and awfully complex", instead she defines her reality with "oh idgaf what happens, leave me alone because i feel it that way. Let me feel whatever I feel". She has a quote like "It's not a phase and I will not grow out of it!" Her worldview is relatively fixed. That being sa(i)d, let's talk about her Ne-Si. Why Ne-Si over Se-Ni: So now that I've talked about why is she Fi-Te, I'll have ISFPs and INFPs as examples. The basic difference between INFPs and ISFPs is how they shape their feelings and their worldview. ISFPs have Se as their auxes, so they seek sensoral stimuli to help them retreat to their inner bubbles and worlds. Se throws in a bunch of ways to do this, drawing, running, travelling, etc. and Ni takes these activities and tries to find the best one, and sticks with it. Vex sticks to gloomyness, but it's maily because of tertiary Si instead of Ni. We never seen Vex plan or scheme or have a basic direction, like, ever. Ni users crave a path in which they feel confortable and which is perfectly woven to them. Vex uses Ne-Si instead, because she seeks mental stimuli and enjoyment instead of physical. By mental stimuli, I mean it's like when you dig yourself into an imaginary world, and are totally invested in that world. Does it sound familiar in Vex's case? Yes. She dug herself into gloomyness and darkness. Accompanied by her Si, she has a relatively fixed worldview. She chose gloomyness and darkness as a sensory thing she like to experience. Se users take gloomyness and darkness in their true context, but not Vex, because Vex has her own meaning tied to darkness and gloomyness. Biography
In the black heart of the Shadow Isles, a lone yordle trudges through the spectral fog, content in its murky misery. With an endless supply of teen angst and a powerful shadow in tow, Vex lives in her own self-made slice of gloom, far from the revolting cheer of the “normie” world. Though she lacks ambition, she is quick to strike down color and happiness, stopping all would-be interlopers with her magical malaise.
