Hwei MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Hwei? Hwei is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - 459 in Enneagram, RLOAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

"Creativity is limitless—for better or worse." ~ Hwei. Many of you have voted Hwei as an INFP, but there are also people who believe that he could be an INFJ. However, what personality type suits him the most? It would be best to define the cognitive functions using Carl Jung's theory, and then I will argue why he's best represented by one of these personality types. 𝟭. 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 An INFP is Fi dom (introverted feeler) with Ne aux (Extroverted intuition), and an INFJ is a Ni dom (introverted intuition) with Fe aux( Extroverted Feeling. But what is the difference between these functions and what do they represent? 𝟏.𝟏 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐏 (𝐅𝐢𝐍𝐞) Fi dom: desires to live a life according to their own personal ethics, free of outside influences and any attempt to force them to conformity; has strong ethical views but a hands-off approach to other people, with no desire to change them in any way (because they do not wish others to change them). Highly sensitive. Auxiliary Ne manifests in people constantly questioning the world around them, but unlike ENxPs (the Ne doms), they can be more pick and choose about this. But generally, they don’t take people, things and events at face value. There is always much more behind this. 𝟏.𝟐 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐉 (𝐍𝐢𝐅𝐞) Ni-doms are usually drawn to careers or interests that allow them to: examine and challenge unrecognized or unacknowledged aspects of reality; grapple with theory or questions surrounding language, definitions, terminology; explore creative solutions to philosophical problems; help others realize their potential; persuade people to broaden their intellectual horizons. Fe aux is a desire for interpersonal harmony, honoring social grace, shared feeling, and focuses its judgement on people. 𝟏.𝟑 𝐅𝐢 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐞: Fe believes that morals are universal to the situation and do not change based on the person, while Fi believes that morals are universal to the person and do not change based on the situation. Basically, Fe says ok, well in this situation it is wrong and in this situation it is right, it doesn’t matter who you are. Fi says this is what is morally correct to you and therefore there is never a situation where wrong becomes right (Of course Te comes in and says ‘but there is a time where you MUST do this’, which is true, but it is still wrong). 𝟏.𝟒 𝐍𝐢 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐍𝐞: Introverted Intuition (Ni)- Ni seeks to find the truth or accuracy, Ni narrows down ideas to reach a conclusion, Ni is more refined and organized, Uses Se’s sensory powers to reach realistic conclusions, Internal Extroverted Intuition (Ne): Ne seeks to explore possibilities, Ne expands concepts to form new ideas, Ne is scatter-brained, Uses Si’s power of detail and experience to create new ideas, External Now that we know the cognitive functions of these two personality types, it can be argued that Hwei is a FiNe user. 𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐰𝐞𝐢 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐏 𝟐.𝟏 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐰𝐞𝐢: First and foremost, it is important for us to know the description of Hwei as provided by the game developers: “Hwei is a brooding painter who creates brilliant art in order to confront Ionia’s criminals and comfort their victims. Beneath his melancholy roils a torn, emotional mind—haunted by both the vibrant visions of his imagination and the gruesome memories of his temple’s massacre. Hwei seeks to understand this light and dark, which drives him inevitably toward the artist who unraveled him. With paintbrush and palette, Hwei shapes endless possibilities as he draws ever closer to earning closure or embracing despair.” 𝟐.𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: From the description provided by Riot, Hwei's personality appears to reflect certain aspects associated with Carl Jung's theory of cognitive functions: Fi - Introverted Feeling (Fi): Hwei highlights a deep awareness of his own values and emotions. His art is a strong expression of his inner feelings, and his quest for understanding the interplay of light and darkness demonstrates a profound concern for personal values and emotional experiences. Ne - Extraverted Intuition (Ne): Hwei explores limitless possibilities through his art, using imagination to shape unique and fantastical visions. This aspect reflects the use of the Ne function, which is open to new perspectives and ideas. Si - Introverted Sensing (Si): In the story description, Hwei confronts traumatic memories related to the massacre in his temple. This introspection into memories and their impact could indicate the use of the Si function, which focuses on personal experiences and memory. Te - Extraverted Thinking (Te): Although not explicitly highlighted in the description, Hwei's desire to confront criminals in Ionia and bring solace to the victims suggests an outward-oriented action, which can be associated with the Te function.
