What personality type is Uta? Uta is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - so/sp - 479 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.
I think ENFP fits for her. She has a strong curiosity about the human world and their planet, breaking with the traditions and rules of her tribe and not wanting to go back to them. (Inferior Si) She quickly connects the story about the mermaid with her own experiences and sees it as a metaphorical reflections of her own emotions and destiny (Ne/Fi). Furthermore she seems to be extremly eager to learn new things, theories and gain knowledge and a new identity. She also notices the potential in Hibiki in the beginning and seems to be hopeful that they can have a future together despite the odds. She doesn‘t easily adapt to those around her, often behaving in a way that seems weird or inappropriate. Even though she seems to have been with the humans for some time she still maintains her individual quirks and also doesn‘t adapt to her species. This seems more like Fi to me, since Fe users don‘t tend to struggle with this. Her sacrifice in the end is also not a sign of Fe. Instead she chooses her personal feelings for Hibiki about her people‘s values and saves him, because of her love for him. This is more Fi motivated than Fe, which often cares for the greater good more than their own feelings. If she was an INFJ she would be more similar to Hibiki, but she isn‘t she doesn‘t struggle with inferior Se and is more open and sponataneous than focused. They make a great INTJ/ENFP couple.
