What personality type is Robert Eggers? Robert Eggers is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/so - 541 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
In a long interview talk he specifically says of him and his brother "we are not like Ari Aster or Martin Scorsese(P types) because we are looking for that level of craft" refering to the extreme detail they pay attention to. Like historical accuracy of all elements(very J type element). Says he focuses on atmosphere first then the story, common with INTJs due to Ni and Fi. Loves researching which might be a bit vague but the way he talked about it sounded like a common INTJ since thats where their power lies in the research and building ideas on that, appearing to be more knowledgeable than they are due to Ni quick processing and understanding. Dresses very Se, very stylish, commonly black and tight unlike Ari Aster for example who looks like your typical INXP nerd. Mentioned him and his brother have jungian leanings, specifically jungian archetypes in his characters, that kind of symbology is very common with Ni dominants. He commented on innacuracy of other movies as if that is a problem(NiTe/SiTe thing usually). Overall has Ni-Se Te-Fi energy, enjoys talking and is quite direct. Fun bonus is when the interviewer suggests through a question if he went a certain way about a certain thing, he said "well obviously I", classic Ni Te quote as INTJs often assume things are obvious but they certainly aren't since if they were the interviewer would not ask. (Correct typing, but my comment is ancient and deserves severe rewriting, as this does not reflect my current knowledge. Will leave it be for now.)

Robert Eggers (born July 7, 1983) is an American film director, screenwriter and production designer, best known for his horror films The Witch (2015) and The Lighthouse (2019). Eggers began his career as a designer and director of theatre productions in New York before transitioning to working in film.
