I've seen many people type Ruth as ISFJ, and while I do see a case for ISFJ, I find it more likely that Ruth is an ISFP. Fi: "Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God" This is one of Ruth's most famous lines in the bible. She did this out of her own moral conscience not to leave her aging mother-in-law alone. If she were an Si-dominant, she would have followed Orpah (her sister-in-law) and went back to Moab to remarry and have children. She would not have followed Naomi to Israel, especially since Naomi specifically told her not to follow. It was considered the rule back then that girls had to listen to their mother-in-law no matter what and they had to marry and have lots of children. Ruth disobeying this rule clearly shows she doesn't care about traditions, and cares more about morality. Her Se can also be seen in how she notices details about her new home Israel really quickly. She is quick to learn that the place is currently in a state of Barley harvest, and is quick to pick up the culture and traditions of the place. She is also quick to notice Boaz's fear of her when she first meets him. While these traits can be classified under Si, I think it is more likely that it is Se considering how Ruth's dominant trait is most certainly Fi Thus, I think Ruth is ISFP.
