Adam MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Adam? Adam is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/sx - 936 in Enneagram, RCUAN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
He doesn’t seem very strong-willed or opinionated. He simply ate from the fruit because Eve did, (either peer pressure or because he didn’t want her to be alone in her sin, both hint at strong Fe), he also didn’t resist the serpent by calling it out, or tried to stop Eve, even though in the New Testament it says that he wasn’t deceived by it, but he did nothing and relented to sin. Then, both ESFJ and ISFJ make sense when you look at what he was created for- a strong relationship forever with his creator (Si and Fe), protecting and preserving God‘s creation (Si) out of love and loyalty to God (Fe), and low Ne wouldn’t have been much of a problem since he lived in a perfect world that needed no big innovations. The only creative thing he had to do was name the animals, to which I think his Ti helped. And then, Eve needed to have all functions different from him and (I‘ll have my case for her type on her page) she seems to have Fi and Se (as I‘ll explain on her page). And then him and Eve were to complement one another, which ISFJs and ESFPs do, same functions only inverted. Which also would make sense considering that Eve was taken from him, this would have made her quite similar to him functionwise too. There is one more good argument in the comments since I‘m running out of space.
Biography
Adam (Hebrew: אָדָם, Modern ʼAdam, Tiberian ʼĀḏām; Arabic: آدَم, translit. ʾĀdam; Greek: Αδάμ, translit. Adám) is the name used in the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis for the first man created by God, but it is also used in a collective sense as "mankind" and individually as "a human". Biblical Adam (man, mankind) is created from adamah (earth), and Genesis 1-8 makes considerable play of the bond between them, for Adam is estranged from the earth through his disobedience.
