Logan Roy MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Logan Roy? Logan Roy is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/so - 836 in Enneagram, SLOEN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.

While I have read a lot of comments arguing that he is an ESTP, which mostly boiled down to him being forceful, domineering, and protecting his own interests, and there being some valid cases as to why he counts, I still firmly believe he is an ENTJ. If you really think that being forceful, brutish, self-serving, and a powerhouse excludes him from being an ENTJ, what this shows is a lack of understanding of how not only MBTI works, but the enneagram system to boot. All it does is contribute to a black-and-white style of thinking under a veil of complexity. Throughout the show, despite being something of a force of nature, Logan is shown to have a strong Te, where he is constantly working and strategizing on how to make his company the largest media conglomerate in the world, two major examples being when he was working to acquire Pierce and sell Waystar to GoJo after deeming his children unfit to run the company. He has a natural ability to think of the right strategies that benefit him and take forward, brutal action to make that a reality. His character has such an external focus on facts, logic, organization, objective analysis, (what will surely benefit himself and his company for the long term), and command over others (not necessarily a Te exclusive trait, but it has such prominence that it is hard to ignore) that I don't how this does not come across as Te. And yes, he doesn't just value his own input, but he values what everyone in his inner circle thinks (e.g. Roman, Tom, and Gerry), as he almost always takes the most logical approach that will benefit himself and the company when he is gone. He even distanced himself from children early in their lives so that he could focus on organizing his company to be the best in his mind, which screams a strong Te. In terms of Ni, this also has enough prominence in his character that I can't imagine it being his last function. This quote says it all: "The future is real. The past is all made up." What this is trying to communicate is that Logan is unconcerned with revisiting the past given his traumatic experiences and is primarily focused on the moves/countermoves that will fully realize the future that he has envisioned and is constantly working towards, showing how his Te and Ni work in tandem with one another. The conversation he had with Lukas Mattson also indicates he had high Ni in his prime as well as a lot of the quotes he makes (e.g. "Life is not knights on horseback"). Again, it's too much of a prominent character trait to say it's his inferior function. Now onto his Se. Everyone seems to agree he has this and while I don't think it is prominent enough to be his primary function, it still is quite developed and it is probably one of the main reasons why a fair amount of people believe he is an ESTP. He is incredibly bullish and does focus a lot of his energy on what occurs in the moment, rather than dwelling on the past. His extravagant, larger-than-life persona and his aptitude for seizing opportunities without much forewarning (e.g. blackmailing Kendall to back away from the Bear Hug) also indicate a decent amount of Se. That said, even though he is aggressive and explosive, I think a lot of that has to do with his enneagram, 8w7, as Logan projects himself as a powerful figure to avoid being vulnerable and ensures that everyone knows not to mess with him. However, there is very little disagreement on that. Finally, Logan does show inferior Fi, as he expresses an individualistic nature and in some instances, does whatever he feels is right and runs counter to the wishes of his loved ones. However, he also shows a lack of consideration for what his children want, which is the CEO position at Waystar and forces them to go on the path he wants them on to continue projecting his company's image as the most powerful media conglomerate in the world. I rest my case. He is an ENTJ 8w7 through and through. And no, I won't accept "ENTJ e8s do not exist" as a valid argument.
