What personality type is Andrew Yang? Andrew Yang is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sp - 153 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

Given recent controversy (related to Israel), I expect a lot of people will want to post political takes (in fact there is one right below this comment), so I would like to let everyone know ahead of time that this is for personality discussion solely. Leave politics out of it. If you want to include your take in your comment, do that, but only if your comment is mainly related to typology arguments. EDIT: Given the results of the New York Mayoral race coming in just now I think this comment is still perfectly relevant. As for typology, I think LIE is the best fit. What Andrew Yang focuses on most of the time is pragmatic solutions to problems, he's generally very non-ideological. All indicative of Te focus without any influence from Ti. Andrew Yang is also very forward thinking in his approach. A big part of his brand is new innovative solutions to the problems of the future we are going to be facing. He's got a HUGE plethora of ideas and policies to implement and problems to tackle, all with a distinctly futuristic focus. Pretty clear Ni ego with strong influence from Ne, ie. Ni creative with Ne demonstrative, all supporting his Te pragmatic conclusions. And in line with his futuristic focus is a total lack of focus on the present moment. Yang is detached from present day practical issues in favor of solving future problems. This was one of my main criticisms of his campaign, too much focus on tackling the future when the country is falling apart right now in the present. His complete lack of present-focused solutions to current day practical problems definitely indicates PoLR Si. Te base, Ne demonstrative, Ni creative, Si PoLR, all points to LIE.

Biography

Andrew Yang (born January 13, 1975) is an American entrepreneur, the founder of Venture for America (VFA), and a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. He was born in Schenectady, NY, where he went on to work in startups and early-stage growth companies as a founder or executive from 2000 to 2009. After he founded VFA, the Obama administration selected him in 2012 as a "Champion of Change" and in 2015 as a "Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship".
