i did a little kimi ni todoke rewatch and she does truly fit ISFJ 9w1. people seem to be confusing her for a "healthy INTP" which is strange. although they share the same functions, sawako was 15 years old for the entire first season and we only see her throughout her teenage years. i would say the possibility of her having healthy usage of her inferior functions is unlikely. *********contrary to popular opinion, i believe sawako's Fe is very visible, especially because we can see her internal monologue/thought process. throughout the entire series, sawako YEARNS for a strong friendship. she loved social harmony. she always looked out for others and only ever considered what others want, which is the essence of Fe. people love to say that being ostracized shows her lack of Fe, but that is not the case. sawako isolated herself for the sake of OTHER PEOPLE. kazehaya even had to tell her that social isolation to PROTECT OTHERS wasn't a normal or healthy way to live. she did it all because she thought that's what people wanted. "Sawako is also very selfless, often forgetting her own needs for others." her selflessness is a huge part of her character. she is always thinking about what she can do for other people.********* - in the first few episodes, she cosplays a horror character for an event at their school. she does this because "everyone was worried about it" and she felt like it would benefit their class. this isn't TiNe, this is Fe: she does what she thinks is best for the group. - in the middle of the series, she avoids yano and chizuru because of rumors that had been circling around. she felt like she had a negative impact on yano and chi's social standings, so she tried to mediate things by isolating herself (she was reverting back to how it has always been, this is also an Si reaction). this isn't TiNe, this is Fe: taking into account the opinions of other people because of rumors, realizing her social status as an outcast, trying to do what she feels is best for the people she cares about. - sawako never felt any negative feelings for kurumi, despite all the trashy things kurumi did/said. she just wanted to be friends with kurumi, and even found it wonderful that kurumi thought of her as a rival. she tried to match kurumi's energy by calling her by her first name "Ume-chan." - when other problems were fixed, people started to hang around sawako more and they noticed how studious she was. sawako happily shared her notes with many of her classmates, even making personal ones that were catered to their educational struggles. - towards the end of the series, sawako pre-made Christmas gifts that suited her friends. i would say her early preparation is a Si-planning thing, but the most obvious function is Fe: she realizes the hobbies and interests of her friends and hand-made gifts that were perfect for them. - sawako really wanted to attend the Christmas party but ended up canceling because she realized how excited her dad was to celebrate the holiday. sawako spent a lot of time making kazehaya a beanie. when her dad misunderstood and thought the beanie was for himself, she understood how happy her dad was and decided not to tell him it was for kazehaya. - on valentine’s day, sawako made a cute bag of chocolates for EVERYONE. (although she was too scared to give kazehaya’s) she loves putting in the effort to do things for other people - during their cafe in the school festival, sawako became a hit because of her amazing social advice. she literally gave people free consultations and she was really good at it. people could consider this as "developing her Fe" but i think sawako's wisdom is just a natural part of her personality, she just never had people to show it to. ****** AGAIN: throughout the entire series, sawako YEARNS for a strong friendship. she loved social harmony. she always looked out for others and only ever considered what others want, which is the essence of Fe. people love to say that being ostracized shows her lack of Fe, but that is not the case. sawako isolated herself for the sake of OTHER PEOPLE. kazehaya even had to tell her that social isolation to PROTECT OTHERS wasn't a normal or healthy way to live. she did it all because she thought that's what people wanted. ****** yes, Fe is about understanding how other people feel. but that doesn't mean an Fe user cant make misunderstandings regarding people's emotions. she's a bit like sumi sakurasawa from rent-a-girlfriend, and fluttershy from my little pony. there are a looooot of ISFJs who are socially awkward. her inability to assert herself doesn’t make her a Ti dom?? this is what sets her apart as an ISFJ and not an ESFJ. as for her Si, i will be typing something in the replies.

A scary-looking, but incredibly kindhearted girl. Her resemblance to Sadako from The Ring has made her fellow classmates shun her for many years.
