Tsukasa Shishio MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Tsukasa Shishio? Tsukasa Shishio is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sx/so - 152 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
Tsukasa’s unusual idealistic approach has impressed me from the very start, as he raises valid concerns about humanity’s flaws. Looking into the discussions here I became confused on how his personality fits with the judging functions. I’ve been holding off from a judgement for a while since I’m not caught up to the manga yet. Now that I’ve read up to the end of the stone wars arc, my inklings from the anime corroborated. Unless his personality changes significantly later on, I’m confident by now that he’s an ENTJ. I’m typing this as I completed the stone wars arc, so my analysis is spoiler-free for anime-onlys. Not only is there a discussion between Te and Fe, but also if Ni is in the dom or aux position. For this reason, it’s helpful to discuss his function arrangement first. Tsukasa’s decisions are all directed towards people, specifically the tribe he wants to build. Moreover, he uses his lack of self-values as strength, so no one can blackmail him with what he holds dear. As soon as he got time to breathe after being unpetrified, he started deciding for the society he wants to build by smashing the statues of people he deems unworthy and reviving those he judges beneficial for his goals. Consequently, there is a big imbalance between the decisions he makes for the tribe vs. for himself. This translates to dominant extraverted judging and inferior introverted judging. I’ll go into more detail later on how his perception is more balanced and thus likely to be the middle axis. Therefore, he should be an ExxJ. The next thing to clarify is if he’s using Te or Fe. Tsukasa’s goal seems noble and there are examples of Fe users sacrificing part of society to further their goals (mostly seen in dictators and the like), but Tsukasa’s motivations don’t fit this archetype very well. What he displays most evidently is Te. When revived, he asks for the situation and quickly attacks and kills the lion, without thinking too much about it. Te doms get things done first and foremost. When he finds his interests don’t align with Senku’s and Taiju acts as a punching bag, he quickly drops his offence against Taiju. He recognizes there is nothing to be gained. He then agrees to Senku’s proposal for a clean and bloodless killing blow, as Tsukasa again seeks the most effective path. He doesn’t need to waste effort by turning this into a slaughter. There’s a lot of Te in these early interactions: He seeks the most effective way to get things done and is quick to decide over the people around him. He only agrees with people if they share his values. This is why Tsukasa quickly evolves into a leader figure, his presence alone inspires fear in the people he gathers. He uses this to control his growing empire; and I cannot overlook the strong link between high Te and imperial ambitions, even if it’s more symbolic. Moreover, he is an excellent example of the “Ends justify the means” approach of Te dom inf Fi. This can be seen in his resolve smashing statues despite being fully aware he’s committing murder and repenting this measure. His savage approach on building his empire is hard to explain with Fe. High Fe users seek to align with the needs of people around them, Tsukasa’s approach is quite the opposite: He crafts his empire to align with his decisions. The contrast becomes even clearer when comparing him to the next best high Fe user: Yuzuriha. She aligns herself effortlessly with the people around her, be it Senku’s scientific advances, Taiju’s approaches or even the coexistence with Tsukasa’s empire and subsequent use as a double agent. She also has an easier time than Taiju playing along with Senku’s and Gen’s charade when trying to win over people with their telephone. -- continues in reply --
