Tom the Cat MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Tom the Cat? Tom the Cat is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/sx - 693 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

Tom: 6w7 Reactive (6) rather than positive (7) fits. Above all, Tom desires security and safety first and foremost. How he responds when Jerry fights back, this all putting his security at risk, is VERY reactive. When conflicts, dangers, and threats are present, 6's become very anxious, overreact, paranoid, and frantic, which is how Tom reacts whenever Jerry outwits him and fights back with tricks and traps. His panicking and fearful attitude is quite 6 core. A sense of anxiety present at all times really. One of his defining traits is his timidness - scared of Spike, ghosts, his master, and also of Jerry. Reacts reactively and defensively to perceived threats. He's quite counter-phobic, as he faces fears head on. The dis / integration arrows make sense for Tom: Disintegration to 3: competes with Jerry and doesn't quit to try and exact revenge. Integration to 9: being able to get along with Jerry and Spike peacefully and not be so competitive and anxious.

Biography

The eponymous first half of the Tom and Jerry duo. An anthropomorphic blue/greyish cartoon cat who has a perpetual rivalry with Jerry Mouse. Said rivalry is friendly/playful or otherwise, depending on the shorts (and era). Is often depicted as being short-fused and resilient. One of the most (if not perhaps, THE MOST) iconic, recognisable and beloved cartoon characters out there, with his (and Jerry's) fame and reputation transcending time, space, language, culture and other such barriers.
