What personality type is Bow? Bow is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - so/sx - 926 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
I think the way we can understand Bow’s enneagram is maybe to compare him with Scorpia. Scorpia is a 2w1, she does things for people with the hope that her helpfulness will gain her friendship, love and acceptance. Her love language is acts of service, and she has trouble setting boundaries - her arc is about her learning when enough is enough, and drawing a line in the sand. In contrast, Bow helps and does things for his friends because that’s what he wants to do. He managed to construct and balance a huge lie in order to prevent his dads from finding out he was a soldier and that he didn’t want to be a librarian, because he didn’t want to disappoint them. He doesn’t really expect anything in return for his friendship, except basic respect, and when that isn’t given to him he gets understandably angry, a 9 trait. Bow often sets aside his own feelings in order to help others, and bring others together, however he’s not afraid to speak his mind when the situation calls for it, and he sets boundaries between himself and Glimmer when she’s too dependent and clingy with him. Bow can also be pretty passive aggressive, quiet but clear in his anger, which are traits of the 9 in the gut triad. 9s are often mistyped as 2s because on a surface level they’re quite similar, however below the surface, we can see quite a contrast. I’m sorry I’m not too great at explaining, which is why I generally try not to get into too much discourse, but I was confident enough about Bow being a 9 that I had to say something.
Biography
Bow is a central character in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and a leader of the Rebellion. He is a companion in the adventures of the Princess Alliance. Bow has shown himself to be a very kind, friendly, cheerful, optimistic, and intellectual person. He serves as the voice of reason among his friends; constantly warning them of consequences and trying to keep them leveled.
