Personality

What personality type is Manami Aiba “La Brava”? Manami Aiba “La Brava” is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sx/so - 297 in Enneagram, RLUAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.

@[I Am In Your Walls] made a new thread since this is more in depth ^^ I do think her 4core is pretty evident in her constant admiration for him and what he does. The pride of a 2 just isn't there at all. She dismisses herself constantly and falls in love with others obsessively. That's shown in her backstory. "2s are not deeply helpful - they are strategically helpful." - Naranjo When talking about the sx subtype, Naranjo consistently describes a person who keeps others on their side through seduction and uses them for whatever they desire or use they have. Yes, La Brava desires Gentles love but not like that she also doesn't seek it in an overwhelming or seductive manner, not even to feel needed as the 2 often does. The sx2 is described as a femme fatale and just as domineering and forceful as the 8. In general, 2s are known to manage and control their relationships, even positively. "While the Self-Preservation Two is the countertype of Two, with conflicting impulses toward and away from people, and the Social Two is a more adult Two oriented to power and control, the Sexual Two is a generous, flexible, somewhat wild, action-oriented Two who is not afraid to woo others by using sexuality as a weapon of conquest." - Beatrice Chestnut None of these seem to fit, especially the two voted subtypes on this profile. Let's look more deeply, tho.   When looking at the unhealthy La Brava, we get a key to which type of the two types might actually be, as it should be clear designation into 8 by the 2. I reread this small part, since I do think It's the most important. In middle school, she was admiring a boy from afar without ever talking to him, she confessed through a very detailed love letter, which cast a lot of judgement on her. She was deemed a stalker for the amount of admiration she seemed to have for this boy and how much attention she seemed to give to his behavior without having interacted at all, observing very intently. (this love letter scenario is almost a cliché for 4s to do, btw. I literally saw a thread on the 4 board about exactly that a couple of days ago, with a bunch of people relating to writing overly dramatic love letters and the like. The enneagram 4 Isn't regarded as the romantic for no reason.) This eventually led to her locking herself in her room and letting everything fall apart around her. She genuinely becomes a hikikomori. It is stated that she didn't allow herself to believe in anyone or anything. She then puts all her hope into Gentle after finding videos of him talking about changing the world and trying to give people something to believe him. She calls him her shining light. (4s try to fill the inadequacy within themselves through the fulfillment of love, finding someone that can safe them and fully understand them. Gentle and La Brava are unlike one another but shared this feeling of being fed up with how things are, but Gentle thinks he is the one who could change all of that, and she wants to see him succeed and feel fulfilled as well.) She literally thinks, "But you never said a word. You accepted me for me." which is the opitimy of what every 4 searches for. It's almost comical to read in this context. When we see her with Gentle, she's at her most healthy state and also head over heels in love, which is why I think It's not fair to only judge her based on that. There's more to go into like how the so2 seeks leadership and recognition and the sp2 puts on an act of childishness and sweetness in order to be treaded more kindly (which is very Toga btw. In general, comparing Toga and La Brava at their most unhappy states is very good comparison since Toga although hated by her family she still manages to put on an act in school and be pretty popular until she can't anymore. She even says she still puts on the high school girl act to not be threatened by the harsh world.) La Brava seems childish due to her character design, but her behavior isn't a reflection of "take care of me." or anything like that at all.  (Here's also a really cool thread I found while researching "2s are relational, while 4s are withdrawn. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 2 not over-operate in their relationships at some point in their lives, even though they are also highly independent. 4s on the other hand have to get a catastrophic low point to realize that they need to branch out and create new relationships. That being alone is an unsustainable experience for any human. But 4s also thrive having interconnection because it gets them out of their own way. 2s do better when they find that they can rely on themselves for their own self-worth, instead of others." I usually don't like copy pasting others' explanations, but I can see the link to the actual literature in this one, so here ya go :> ) I gotta work on my drawings now, but I hope that helped a lil bit ^^
