[𝟏/𝟐] Some things to further consider (about his cognitive type & enneatype). . . Some noticeable differences between the INFP and the ISFP: ¶ The INFPs are more certain of their internal ideological frameworks / emotional spaces, thanks to Fi-Si, than the ISFP. The INFPs are specific feelers, who internally concretise their identities, ideologies and emotions (they have deep control over their limbic spaces, as such exhibit deep relational empathy), while the ISFPs are holistic feelers (Fi-Ni), who generally tend to adopt archetypes, because of how vague and abstract their internal dialogues are (they exhibit imaginative relational empathy). ¶ The ISFPs are more certain of their external logical and mechanical evaluations, thanks to Se-Te, than the INFP. The INFPs are divergent thinkers, and as such have a wide, & abstracted external mechanical and logical awareness, and are more prone to falling into the "analysis paralysis" trap, like the INTP. ¶ The INFPs, due to auxiliary Ne, are usually, ideally, compelled to seek external ideational novelties (governed by the self) outside the self, while the ISFPs, due to auxiliary Se, are usually, ideally, compelled to seek external sensorial novelties (governed by the self) outside the self, most times, to externally concretise their identities and emotions. As such, the ISFP, like the ISTP, needs to have a sensorial experience before forming an opinion about something. An idea isn't complete, until it's been externally concretised for the ISFP. ¶ The INFPs highly unconscious Se and auxiliary Ne (again), tend to make them appear a bit restive or absent-minded when they speak, than the ISFPs, who appear present and attuned to their environment because of their auxiliary Se. [Restiveness excessively noticeable in Joaquin]. ¶ ISFPs are specific and direct speakers, because of their direct and specific Se auxiliary, this is unlike the Ne, which is a very verbal & divergent function, and as such gives high Ne users the rambling trait they possess. Joaquin exhibits this rambling trait to a high degree. Where the ISFPs Se-Te pairing makes them go straight to the point as they speak, the INFPs Ne-Te pairing provides a plethora of words struggling for space. I think it's – okay, I have too many thoughts, I'm losing myself, you're gonna edit this, hopefully and figure it out [. . .]" [This excerpt shows an aversion to specificity in meaning, he appreciates and encourages the audience to have a subjective journey and interpretation of his work (Ne's multifacetedness paired with Si's need for purity of sense impressions). It also highlights an excessive and amusing rambling trait.] ¶ Though both have Fi as the focal points of their psyches, the ISFP, would usually, seek to take you on a deeply personal sensorial journey while the INFP, would usually, seek to take you on a deeply emotional journey, and it's because of the positions Se/Ni and Ne/Si occupy on their stacks. Where the ISFP seeks to externally concretise their identities / emotions / ideals, the INFP seeks to express already concretised emotions / identities / ideals. ¶ Not necessarily important, but will mention it, anyways: Joaquin seems to exhibit the childlike enthusiasm found in high Ne users. Where high Se users seem grounded in their explorations, high Ne users are akin to a child unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning. From what has been said of (and by) Joaquin, his cognitive structure seems to be similar to that of the INFPs than the ISFPs. ➖➖➖ ENFP or ENTP, maybe? Joaquin doesn't seem to seek external ideational novelties for themselves, neither does he seem willing to insert "chaos" into his environment to get them. Biography
Joaquin Rafael Phoenix (born Joaquin Rafael Bottom; October 28, 1974) is an American actor and the younger brother of deceased young actor River Phoenix. In appearances as a child actor, he was billed as Leaf Phoenix up through the end of the 1980s in emulation of his siblings River and Rain; from To Die For onward, he reverted to Joaquin. While his older brother was a widely praised up-and-coming actor who ultimately died before he could reach his full potential as an actor, Joaquin ultimately avoided such a fate and obtained the sort of successful film career that his brother would have surely had if not for his death. His most famous appearances include Gladiator, Signs, Hotel Rwanda, Walk the Line and The Joker. Phoenix is an outspoken vegan and animal rights activist. He's also a known environmentalist and ally for minorities, even criticizing Hollywood for not being inclusive enough.
