Personality

What personality type is Ginny Weasley? Ginny Weasley is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - so/sx - 692 in Enneagram, RCOAN in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.

As others have said, I see her movie personality and her book personality as two completely different characters. When we look at the books, she's a clear and confident ESTP (Se-Ti-Fe-Ni), with her Se dom preference clear in her bold actions and interactions with her family and friends. I look to her choices in The Order of the Phoenix with Dumbledore's Army as proof of this. She stands by her actions with a firm Ti rationale of facts and logic, and her tertiary Fe allows her to connect to people in a charming way and can talk to anyone. Her portrayal in the movies are pretty much a 180 from that. Not only is she barely developed and exists only to be a supporting character for Harry and sometimes Ron, she is done very dirty. Her "personality" comes out more from Half Blood Prince onwards as she becomes a love interest, and from that point on, she had lost her personality that was displayed even when she was younger in the earlier movies. I'd argue she has no Se at all and is instead a heavy Si user. Out of ISFJ / ISTJ / ESFJ / ESTJ, when it comes to Fe / Te, I see her as an Fe user, as she always is the first to respond to other's emotional needs throughout the movies because of her supportive role writing. Therefore, as I see Si > Fe, I think she is an ISFJ. Please comment if you have any points otherwise :)

Biography

Ginevra Molly "Ginny" Potter (née Weasley) (b. 11 August, 1981), occasionally known as Gin by Harry Potter, was an English pure-blood witch, the youngest daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley (née Prewett), and the youngest sister of Bill, Charlie, Percy, the late Fred, George and Ron. She was the first female to be born into the Weasley line for several generations. Ginny was a forceful, independent girl who often knew her own mind. She had an energetic, lively personality. Ginny also was known to be quick-witted, funny, and could often make others laugh even when they were feeling down. However, when she was young and in love with Harry in the early years of their friendship, she became shy and withdrawn in his presence. On the advice of their friend Hermione, she overcame it. #BonnieWright as Ginny Weasley
