I think Helga is an ENTJ with unhealthy Inferior Fi. People probably think she’s an INFP due to her being poetic but I think not. When an ENTJ becomes stressed and mentally tired to the point where Te can no longer maintain its dominance, this will cause unhealthy Fi urges and it’ll finally erupt from the unconscious. This drives Te-doms to surrender to Fi in a negative or destructive manner. The ways in which these psychological urges manifest behaviorally are often unique to the individual and the circumstances. Helga tends to capitulate herself in her own inner turmoil and lose self-confidence, wanting to persevere in confronting her problems. but suddenly she starts to feel too insecure, vulnerable or tired to proceed. She is always about to confess her feelings to Arnold then she pulls away, starts throwing insults at him, and thennnn she’s back to square 1. Her Te is like ‘Do it, say it.’ then her Fi is like ‘Nah I can’t do it but I want to.’ Because ENTJ’s can have access to their inferior function Fi in an unhealthy manner, this is extremely difficult for them to achieve due to its opposing nature. The auxiliary function will usually be also used to relieve psychological pressure whenever possible. Helga uses Ni-related activities to prioritize reflection on personal potential/vision in order to engage in meaningful activities that are productive for long term development. That means, destroying Arnold and Lila’s day out of jealousy or, her dressing up as another person to go on a date with Arnold tricking him into it. She even pretends to be blind or having memory loss so she can get closer. Then again, is it possible for her to be scared of being seen vulnerable and wants to look tough due to her 8 wing? Helga will literally do whatever it takes to get with Arnold even in the Jungle movie but, I think she was a little more different there. Don’t know if my argument is good enough lol but whatever.
Biography
Helga Geraldine Pataki is the deuteragonist, heroine (and often antagonist) of the TV series Hey Arnold!, and other media related to the series. She is Arnold's frenemy/archrival/bully whilst being his admirer. Helga is often times cynical, deceitful, violent, mean and bossy, bullying her classmates with an iron fist, and taking advantage of her best friend, Phoebe. Although she is very smart, sporty and poetic, she’s widely viewed by her peers as a bully. Helga prefers to show a tough exterior, but is secretly a romantic, a poet and has a massive crush on Arnold. She also cares deeply for Phoebe and shows moments of kindness and conscience. she has a strained relationship with her family. Helga could be classified as a tomboy, as evidenced by her interest in playing contact sports alongside her male classmates and disregards/dislikes stereotypical female behavior, although this is countered by her fondness of the color pink and otherwise girly clothing choices. #TsundereCharacters
