What personality type is King Sombra? King Sombra is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/so - 583 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
He is an introvert (MBTI)! One of the scenes in the comics stood out to me (My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic #36). After he rid the princesses accordingly, he told Radiant Hope, "I have been gone for a long time. I need some time to think." He tells her to stay away while he gains energy by spending time by himself. In the show, he forces helmets on ponies to wipe out any emotional expression and personal character. The enslaved ponies couldn't speak or think at all. If he were an extrovert, this scenario would not be the best for him in the long run; he would have liked to recharge through socializing. He doesn't seem to be the type to emotionally manipulate or gaslight others as a classic, extroverted villain. Through his elaborate and dramatic speeches with the others, he may mistakenly appear extroverted. Also, in general, he heavily emphasizes that he prefers working by himself, believing he is more productive and sufficient if he was removed from collaborative groups (e.g., Tirek, Grogar, and Chrysalis). He operates better independently.
Biography
A cruel unicorn who took over the Crystal Empire and enslaved its inhabitants 1000 years ago, and declared himself its King. Celestia and Luna banished him and turned him into a living shadow, but not before he cursed the Crystal Empire to vanish with him. During the events of the show, the Crystal Empire returns and brings Sombra's spirit with it, and he attempts to complete his resurrection and continue what he started — the conquest of the Crystal Empire and then all of Equestria.
