While I understand the ENTP votes I think there’s more going for him as an Se Dom than and Ne one. Ne is focused on abstract possibility, and while carving out an alter ego could fall under that category, I think the more important aspect is his reasoning behind doing so. He identified with the more surface level environmental aspects of adventure and riches. We don’t really see him explore more abstract possibilities outside of this “alter ego” confession. Se is also shown throughout how easily adaptable he is in high stress situations. He doesn’t seem barred by any Si. Instead he’s a lot more impulsive and doesn’t consider consequences which could be attributed to inferior Ni. Lastly, I’d also argue that Rapunzel and Eugene’s dynamic hinged on her Ne and his lack thereof. Rapunzel is obviously an Ne Dom as she finds fulfillment through connections and exploring ideas. Eugene doesn’t understand this, and often brushes off this view as her “naïveté” and struggles to open himself to her worldview. “At Last I See The Light” perfectly captures these differences with Eugene, an Se Dom, pushing her past her Si inferior doubt to immerse herself in the moment, while Rapunzel the Ne Dom pushes him to see things from a new perspective.
